System Recommendations for Viewing Door County Web Maps
Screen Resolution: To view the graphic details of the maps, it is recommended to use a monitor with a screen resolution of 800 x 600 or higher. Larger monitors typically allow for greater screen resolutions. In Windows based operating systems, the screen resolution setting may be changed by going to the Display Properties (by right-clicking on desk-top and selecting Properties) and selecting Settings tab to change the Desktop Area.
Web Browser: The
application was written for and tested with Microsoft's Internet Explorer web
browser. MS-Internet Explorer version 5.0 or newer is recommended.

Internet Connection: A higher speed internet connection will enhance performance considerably as data and map images are frequently being transferred to your computer through this application. Slower speed connections should work, but users will need to be patient waiting for data and images to load.
Also, aerial photos turn on in this
application when a certain zoom (or map-scale) tolerance is reached.
Although aerial photos can be very helpful, they are also a large data set;
and therefore, require greater resources and through-put to generate.
The "April 2002 Photo" layers can be turned off in the
"Layers" list to improve performance times on slower speed internet connections. The application has a "Help" button that
explains this tip (Improving Response Time by turning off aerial photos) as
well as others.
