June 11   Taxidermy by Mike Orthober

Master taxidermist and naturalist, Mike Orthober,
will be available for questions while he adds to the museum’s Seasons of Life display.

       
June 25  

Belgian Heritage

 

Barb (Englebert) Chisholm,
5th generation Belgian American, will be available to talk about the Belgian exhibits and the Great Fire of 1871.  Other activities and food are in the planning.

       
July 9   Taxidermy by Mike Orthober

Master taxidermist and naturalist, Mike Orthober,
will be available for questions while he adds to the museum’s Seasons of Life display.

       
July 23  

Cherries!

 Displays will feature photos and information from Door County’s past cherry events, such as the Cherry Pie Baking Contests and the Blossom Queen Pageants.

Enjoy samples of traditional and modern cherry treats.

       
Aug 6   Firefighters

The museum’s Pioneer Fire Station, containing three restored Sturgeon Bay trucks and many local fire-fighting artifacts, will be featured. 

 Sturgeon Bay Firefighters will be participating and giving tours of a current truck. 

       
Aug 20   Schools of Door County

Norwegian Heritage

The Sons of Norway will be at the museum to share a bit of Norwegian heritage with you.
They will be dressed in their bunads and you will be able to enjoy samples of Norwegian goodies.
