TREE PROTECTOR TUBES - A problem in establishing tree plantings, especially hardwoods and shrubs, is the browsing and/or girdling by animals (deer, rabbits, mice, etc.). Tree shelters provide a solution to this problem. Not only will they prevent animal damage, but they also serve as a miniature greenhouse, thereby increasing growth and vigor of the tree. A mesh bird guard is attached to the top of the tree shelter to prevent songbirds from becoming trapped inside. Being mesh, the bird guard in combination with the tree shelter will also prevent insect damage to the tree. The shelters can also be installed on trees planted in past years that have been browsed, giving the tree a new lease on life.
